If a search is turned in to an NPC, they may reward the player with items and money. The player can choose which NPCs they want to befriend and help. In each location, the player can interact with symbols known as "NPCs," who offer them special quests. It is a mid-core Pokemon RPG that lets players go on missions to help each other by fighting rival trainers, exploring the world of Alola with their customized character, and doing battles in various locales.
